SmartAX MA5621A Power Grid ONUs
Ruggedized Optical Networking Units (ONUs) for automated meter reading in Smart Grid networks. MA5621 and MA5621A ONUs enable remote data collection and video monitoring systems; also suitable for broadband access for high-speed Internet or HDTV for multiple dwelling customers.
Downstream ports support GE or FE connections, with up to 4 x RS485 or RS232 interfaces for connecting to PCs, ammeters, or concentrators. Upstream GPON support complies with ITU G.984 standards.
Anti-electromagnetic interference enclosure, shock resistance, and 6 kV surge protection provide high reliability, making MA5621 Series ONUs an excellent choice for Smart Grid power systems.
